So sometimes working 3 or 4 jobs in one week gets a little tough, but I, Morgan, am working on juggling!

A couple of days ago I got a message from TJ Stone – he and his wife Dana supported our American Red Cross Japan Bracelet fund – and he sent us a picture! I went to college with them and they are great people doing a great work in Moncks Corner, South Carolina at Macedonia Christian Church. TJ and Dana both have blogs so you should read them because they are good (TJ and Dana).

This warmed my heart when I got this picture – Thanks TJ! And you can also visit the map to see where all of the other bracelets have gone (map was updated yesterday so more places have been added – everywhere from New York to Switzerland).

And don’t forget to tell your story. We want to hear from you. We want to help.

- @WLGMonline

At want less give more, we’re serious about helping people. This is why we’re launching “stories wanted.” A place for you and all of your friends to tell us stories of families that you know that are in need. It could be a neighbor who lost her job and is having a hard time financially supporting her kids – or a family member with a chronic illness that could really use a little extra encouragement – maybe some acoustic music at the hospital. It can be a big story or a little one. It can be in Atlanta or Algeria. We want to hear. We want to help.

All we need is you to tell us what they need,

because everyone knows somebody that needs something. So think of that family you know and head on over to the form and tell us as much as you know.

At WLGM, we believe that this can be big. We believe that we can help. All we need are the stories and together, we will find a way.

So join us. And share a story.

let giving be a way of life.

world water day just past 2 days ago, but let us not forget that

just a little something to think about today.

-want less give more

this is what we are about…

it’s good to be reminded that

want less give more should be a daily thing.

so on our freshly introduced tumblr you will find little daily reminders

these pictures are ours. these words are just things we are thinking. let us know if you agree. let us know if you have ideas.

and for those of you who have no idea what tumblr is, it’s like a facebook / twitter / wordpress hybrid pretty much.

And as always, bracelets for Japan are still available.

So this week, WLGM received 2 pictures

from Meg in East Point, GA:

and  Colin in Waynesburg, PA

We’re so excited to see that we have been able to financially contribute to the American Red Cross’ efforts to help Japan & surrounding areas AND spread awareness when we’re at work, with our family, watching television, or in the grocery store – when we’re not thinking about it at all, we can still spread awareness that we should continue to pray for all of those involved during this trying time.

So to those wearing their bracelets, those waiting on them in the mail, and those who took the time to read our posts and updates as we try to help – THANK YOU.

Thank you for making these efforts to help Japan a reality. We couldn’t have done it without you.

And if you have no clue what we’re even talking about, you can still find the bracelets here:

A week ago I was sitting around my house trying to think of how I could help Japan. Thanks to you, me (Morgan Harper Nichols) and my husband Kekoa Nicholshave made over 100 bracelets and have sent them everywhere from Australia to Alabama. So thank you. We’ve been able to give more to Japan than we could have ever imagined in just 7 days. So thank you, and let’s continue to #WLGM :)

But maybe you’re a visual person.

If you’ve been wondering what we’ve been going on and on about on this past week, here’s what:

Let us know what you think. Do you think it’s possible?

WLGM was an accident.
Shortly after the earthquake and tsunami devastation in Japan and surrounding areas on 11 March 2011, we started making bracelets for relief in Japan. Since then, we haven’t stopped making bracelets. We haven’t stopped seeing what we can do to make a difference, what we can to do good and do good things.

And that’s how Want Less, Give More began.

It was a 100% accident, but we believe that doing good things takes work and is often offbeat, completely random, unconventional, out of nowhere,

but so, so needed.

So join us on our journey to

Want Less, Give More
(WLGM)
